My career journey:
I have spent my entire career in finance at various investment banks. Outside of work, I’m a mother of two young girls (four and six years old) and a wife to my Irish husband.
My role:
My team is a subdivision of Equities and Securities services, which services both the Institutional and Retail clients of the firm. We’re a large sales revenue generator for ESS and Markets.
How I got started:
I began my career in Investment Banking in Seoul. The team needed someone with my language skills to support expansion needs of the corporate equity derivative business.
A day in the life:
In my role, I interact with clients and manage the team/sales strategy. The most interesting part of my job is interacting with clients. I increasingly feel it is my responsibility to pay it forward and guide other employees at Citi to enhance their career paths.
What I enjoy most:
I enjoy client interaction and being able to service their needs by providing a bespoke solution.
Skills check:
Commercial prioritization, focus and drive, tenacity and team work.
Advice for others:
Our department has different teams which support sales and structuring, making it a great opportunity to grow and develop various skill sets.
