The provision of Personal Information through this Site (i.e. https://jobs.citi.com/, and all Citi career-related sites and domain names), in connection with the online search and job application functions of this Site, is subject to this Privacy Policy ("Policy"). This Policy refers to Citibank, N.A. and its parent, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, collectively as "Citi" "ours" "our" "us" and "we".

This Site is operated by Citibank, N.A., address: 388 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10013, United States, in order to support Citi's recruitment functions. Citi maintains computer systems in data centers at locations in the United States and in various countries throughout the world, specifically the United States, Chile, Costa Rica, China, Singapore, Philippines, Brazil, India, Hong Kong and Mexico, which may change time from time. Citi may collect, store, process, disseminate or use your Personal Information in a manner that causes it to be transferred or accessed from computer systems owned or operated by or on behalf of Citi (or a vendor to Citi). I. WHAT INFORMATION DOES THIS POLICY COVER?

This Policy covers any Personal Information you submit through the Site as part of the job application or job search process, including, without limitation, your name, contact information, password, CV, resume and education information. In addition, you may, depending on the location of the job that you are applying for and/or the country you are applying from, be asked to provide other sensitive information as part of your application, such as your gender, race, religion, ethnicity, disability status or sexual orientation; provided, however, you are only required to answer the questions marked as mandatory in order for your application to be processed, while other questions that are not marked as mandatory may be answered on a voluntary basis and your election not to answer such voluntary questions will not affect your application. Notwithstanding the foregoing, please provide only information that is in accordance with local laws.

If you intend to provide us with any personal information about a reference or any other third party as part of your CV/resume or job application, you hereby represent to Citi that you have obtained such third party's consent prior to passing their personal information to us.

You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us and you must ensure it is legal, honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way.

II. HOW WILL THE PERSONAL INFORMATION SUBMITTED BE USED?

The Personal Information that you submit on the Site will be stored in the United States (and in the relevant jurisdiction(s) if the job relates to one of Citi's affiliated entities or subsidiaries outside of the United States). It will be reviewed and processed for the business purposes listed in this Policy by Citi Recruiters, Managers, HR Professionals, employees, consultants and/or service providers and/or by automated means of Citi entities around the world. Please note that the laws regarding Personal Information in some of the jurisdictions involved may be less stringent than the laws of the state or country in which you reside; please see the section on "Jurisdictional Considerations" below for additional information.

Personal Information you provide through the Site will be collected, used, stored, transferred, disclosed and otherwise processed ("processed") for Citi`s global recruitment functions and for related management, information, planning and record-keeping purposes. This will include determining whether you are a suitable applicant (also referred to as a candidate) for any role(s) that you apply for, and shortlisting, selection and arranging interviews. Any information collected from you on this Site, or during the interview process, will also be used to determine whether you will proceed through the application process and whether Citi will offer any employment to you. This includes ensuring all candidates are assessed against and are aligned with Citi's leadership standards. By doing so, we will be able to be the best for our clients. For these reasons, the information we collect from you is essential for our recruitment process and is in our legitimate interests as an employer, but also in the interests of our clients, regulators and employees. It is also important for you that you are the right fit for our organization.

This Policy is relevant only to the extent that Citi uses your Personal Information and:

  • Details of the type of Personal Information we collect and use, such as your personal contact details, information about your application, and any process you are involved with or work that you complete that identifies you personally as a result of your employment with us; Personal Contact details may include but are not limited to: Home Address, Personal Phone Numbers, Date of Birth, National ID numbers, Personal Email Addresses; Work History, Education History, etc.;
  • Sets out the reasons for which we collect, use and store Personal Information about you, which include the important goals of maintaining trust in Citi as a responsible employer and as a globally regulated financial service provider and to enable the most talented people to be employed and work for us which is in our interests and those of our clients.
  • Provides a list of the types of individuals who will be able to access and use your Personal Information, this includes your manager(s), human resources, your work colleagues, etc.

In addition, Citi will collect and use the Personal Information you provide to process your application and, if are hired, to complete applicable onboarding requirements; to provide to you any services available on this Site from time to time; to communicate with you about your job application; to comply with any applicable laws, rules, regulations (collectively "laws"), and audits or in connection with any legal claims; to manage the relationship between you and Citi; to monitor and record services whether provided by a Citi company or a third party; to facilitate historical requisition management; and to inform you about new vacancies and events relevant to our recruiting initiatives, where appropriate and as permitted under applicable local laws. If you opt into Citi`s candidate database, Personal Information about you will be used for the purposes of considering whether your profile is suitable for other job vacancies at Citi.

Please be aware that if you refuse to provide certain information that this Policy covers in connection with your employment application, we will not be able to process your application.

Note that we may collect, use, and share information that does not identify you (including information that has been aggregated or de-identified) except as prohibited by applicable laws.

III. WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Access to Personal Information about you will be limited to those Citi employees, temporary staff, vendors and contractors who have a business need to access such Personal Information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel, managers, and/or their respective designees. Citi will not sell or rent Personal Information about you to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share Personal Information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as parties assisting Citi with the operation of the Site. Those parties will be required to protect Personal Information consistent with the terms of this Policy.

IV. AUTOMATED PROCESSING AND AI

We use automated processing, including artificial intelligence, for our legitimate business interests (or our reasonable and appropriate business purposes) to identify and align the candidate's skills and abilities with a specific job opening. Additionally, if you so choose, or consent, we can match your skills and abilities to other suitable roles at Citi.

Importantly, all our hiring processes and decisions, including determining your suitability for a role, are conducted, checked, and decided by individuals. Our automated processing and AI do not involve relying on automatic or autonomous decision-making. V. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

In certain jurisdictions, consistent with applicable law and Citi's retention policies, you may have the right to access or correct the information that Citi holds about you by logging into the Site and editing your profile information.

If you would like to request deletion of your profile, please note that data retention guidelines will be observed for the country to which you are applying.

VI. DATA RETENTION

We store Personal Information for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes for which we originally collected it and for other legitimate business purposes, including to meet our legal, regulatory, or other compliance obligations. Personal Information of candidates applying for jobs will be retained in accordance with local requirements and those of the country to which you are applying. If there is no activity in relation to the Personal Information, Citi may remove it from its database, subject to Citi's data retention obligations and policies and any applicable legal and regulatory obligations. Further, please note that Citi may delete your profile on this Site or some or all of the Personal Information that Citi has about you at any time (including your CV/resume), for any reason and without notice. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the Personal Information provided to us. In addition to deletion, where we have no continuing legitimate purpose to process your Personal Information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your Personal Information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your Personal Information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

If you are applying for a job in any European country, we will retain your Personal Information for at minimum 3 years depending on the country where the job you have applied for would be located and the associated retention obligations.

All data retention obligations will be observed for the country to which you are applying.

VII. COOKIES

A cookie is a text-only string that is set on your browser. Cookies are used as a quick and convenient means of keeping the Site content fresh and relevant to your interests and as a means of improving the utility of the Site by being able to securely store any Personal Information that you have shared with the Site.
