As a company that does business in more than 100 countries, with
98 percent of our employees native to the locations where they work,
Citi is one of the most diverse organizations in the world. This
diversity has been a source of strength for Citi's employees, for
our clients, and for the communities where we live and work.
Citi values a work environment where diversity is embraced, where
employees are promoted on their merits, and where people treat each
other with mutual respect and dignity.
Around the world, we are committed to being a company where the best
people want to work; where opportunities to develop are widely
available; where innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit are valued;
and where employees are provided tools to help them meet the challenges
of their work and personal responsibilities.
As part of our strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, we have
proudly launched an Employee Network Program at Citi.
What Are Employee Network Groups?Networks are employee-initiated
groups—open to all Citi employees—that support the diversity and
business goals of the organization and provide members with an
opportunity to share common experiences and build awareness of diverse
cultures and communities within the company.
Examples of network activities and programs offered for members include:
- Networking opportunities
- Cross-business mentoring experiences
- Organizing guest speakers and panel discussions to foster growth and development
- Assisting the College Relations Offices and businesses with recruiting a diverse workforce
- Partnering with Citi Community Relations on projects and initiatives
- Working with external network groups and partnership organizations to foster relationships with the company
Currently, Citi has African Heritage, Asian Heritage, Hispanic,
Pride (a network focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues),
Working Parents, and Women's networks in the U.S. Chapters of these networks
are being formed or expanded at Citi locations throughout the country and
additional networks may be formed as employees express an interest in doing
so. Our network program is being expanded to other countries as well. In London,
Citi has Pride, Roots (a network focused on multi-cultural issues), Working
Parents and Women's networks.
