(address: 399 Park Ave., New York, NY 10043, USA) in order to support the recruitment functions of Citibank, N.A. and its parent, and its and their subsidiaries and affiliates. This Policy refers to Citibank, N.A. and its parent, and its and their subsidiaries and affiliates, collectively as "Citi." If you are based in Italy, please note that Paolo Arnaldi is the Italian representative of Citibank, N.A., which is the data controller of your personal data.

WHAT TYPES OF INFORMATION DOES THIS POLICY COVER?

This Policy covers any personal information you submit through the Site as part of the job application or job search process, including your name, contact information, password, CV, resume and education information. You may also choose to provide other relevant information as part of your application. We encourage you not to provide sensitive information, as defined by your country´s laws, but which may include sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religion, belief and disability. Should you provide such sensitive information, Citi reserves the right not to consider your job application. However, you are encouraged to reapply with a new resume that does not include sensitive information.

If you intend to provide us with details of a reference or any other third party as part of your CV/resume, it is your responsibility to obtain such third party´s consent prior to passing their personal information to us.

You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us and you must ensure it is legal, honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way.

How will the Personal Information Submitted be used?

The information that you submit on the Site will be stored in the United States (and in the relevant jurisdiction(s) if the job relates to one of Citi´s affiliated entities outside of the United States). It will be reviewed and processed for the purposes below by employees, consultants and/or service providers of Citi legal entities around the world. Please note that the laws regarding personal information in some of the jurisdictions involved may be less stringent than the laws of the country in which you reside.

Personal information you provide through the Site will be collected, used, transferred and disclosed ("processed") for Citi´s global recruitment functions and for related management and planning purposes. Citi will use the personal information you provide to process your application; to provide to you any services available on this Site from time to time; to communicate with you; to comply with any applicable law or regulation; to manage the relationship between you and Citi; to monitor and record services whether provided by a Citi company or a third party; and to communicate with credit reference and information agencies in as far as this is acceptable under the legislation of the country in which you reside. Personal information about you will be added to Citi´s international candidate database and will be used for the purposes of considering whether your profile is suitable for other job vacancies at Citi.

The provision of personal information on this Site is voluntary. Failure to provide sufficient information, however, may result in Citi being unable to consider your employment application, or if employment is offered, your subsequent promotion, transfer, or relocation.

Citi maintains computer systems in data centers and at other locations in the United States and in various countries throughout the world. Citi may collect, store, process, disseminate or use your personal data in a manner that causes it to be transferred or accessed from computer systems owned or operated by or on behalf of Citi throughout its global computer network.

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Access to personal information about you will be limited to those Citi employees or agents who have a business need to access such personal information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel, managers, and/or their respective designees. Citi will not sell or rent personal information about you to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share personal information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting Citi with the operation of the Site (including Taleo Corporation of 575 Market Street, 8th floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA, which hosts the site and the candidate database, and has joined the "Safe Harbor" scheme.). Those third parties will be required to protect personal information consistently with the terms of this Policy.

Citi may also disclose personal information about you in order to: (1) protect the legal rights, privacy or safety of Citi or its employees, agents and contractors; (2) protect the safety and security of visitors to our web sites or other properties; (3) protect against fraud or other illegal activity or for risk management purposes; (4) respond to inquiries or requests from public authorities; (5) permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain; (6) enforce our Terms of Service; or (7) comply with the law or legal process.

DATA RETENTION

We are required to retain information relating to candidates applying for jobs within the United States. Personal information of candidates applying for jobs in other parts of the world will be retained in accordance with local law. If there is no activity in relation to the personal information, Citi may remove it from its database, subject to Citi´s data retention obligations and policies and any applicable legal or regulatory obligations. Note that Citi may delete personal information about you at any time (including your CV/resume), for any reason and without notice. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the personal information provided to us. If you are applying for a job in Hong Kong and do not hear from us within 1 month from the date you submitted your application, your application shall be regarded as rejected on the last day of that month. Your personal information shall be retained for a period no longer than two years from the date of rejection of your application. For jobs in Japan, your information stored in the system will be purged 1 year after the date of your first application or creation of candidate profile.

COOKIES

A cookie is a text-only string that gets entered into the memory of your browser. Cookies are used as a quick and convenient means of keeping the Site content fresh and relevant to your interests and as a means of improving the utility of the Site by being able to securely store any personal information that you have shared with the Site. Most web browsers allow you to change your cookies options to accept all, some, or no cookies or to warn before accepting cookies; however, setting your web browser to not accept any cookies may inhibit the performance of this Site.

This Site uses two different types of cookies. The first type is a "session-based" cookie. It is downloaded to your computer only for the duration of your visit to the site. The provisions of this Policy in respect of the use of and access to your personal information have priority over any conflicting provisions in the Terms of Use.
